Jung-Dong Pancake in Gun-San

'Jung-dong hottek(pancake of Korea)' in Gunsan,  Jeollabuk-do, Korea.

I have heard a famous delicious hottek-shop in Gunsan which has continued its job since 3 generations in 1948, so I visits there.
it is a 'Jung-dong hottek'

 

It has famous on a national scale as being broadcasted at program called '무한도전'
But already it is known to Gunsan's citizen for its delicious tastes.
 

when the chinese army invaded the Joseon Dynasty in 1882 when the Im-O Military Revolt occurred, at the same time, chinese pancake also imported in korea.
For the first time, it is baked by the oven. But using anthracite caused the serious smell to people. So , one of korea has changed its method to firing with oil.
But hotteks sold in Jung-dong hottek' are not that one firing with oil, but one that baked by oven.

 

It have attractive chewy taste, because of not too much sweety honey that results of baked by oven. So you feel so good when eat it.
